Electrics and Fuel
After the belts were all sorted out I did the electrical work to extend the throttle position sensor cable and then moved on to the Auxiliary Fuel Pressure Regulator (AFPR.)
I had problems getting the fuel hoses removed and then after this was done had to do a fair amount of tube bending to get the AFPR to fit in position. I found that if I just kept on swearing and bending it all worked OK in the end.
Another problem is that the instructions then tell you to connect the boost sensor nipple on the AFPR to the spare cruise control nipple behind the dummy throttle body. Don't. Later on in the instructions it correctly tells you to connect to the rear-facing nipple on the supercharger bypass manifold leaving the cruise nipple free for the MSD unit.
Around the other side. The shiny thing is the AFPR. See those clips on the fuel pipes? Very sharp - avoid. On the intake manifold you'll see the dummy thottle body - its role is to allow the Idle Speed Control valve to be refitted. The ISC is usually shy, but from this angle can be seen beneath the dummy throttle body.
